UNICEF in Bulgaria is looking for a Consultant to promote respect for diversity
Purpose of the consultancy
UNICEF Bulgaria is looking for a Consultant/Team of Consultants to support the Office and its partners with the establishment of a pool of resource persons with skills and knowledge to deliver targeted sessions/workshops for service providers and other relevant stakeholders aiming at strengthening their competencies to promote respect for diversity.

Required education, experience and competencies:
:: Education: cultural studies, sociology, psychology, social work or other relevant fields.
:: Excellent understanding and knowledge of the specific forms of
exclusion and discrimination faced by Roma children and families in
Bulgaria;
:: In-depth experience and good track
record in the delivery of interactive trainings/sessions aiming to
achieve change in attitudes (preferably with a focus Roma), reduce
stereotypes and prejudice, promote diversity, work and effective
communication in multicultural environment.
:: Excellent communication skills and track record in applying effective techniques for promoting behavior and attitude change.
:: Thorough understanding of child rights and children’s and family
services, as well as demonstrated commitment to UNICEF core values;
:: Good communication and planning skills;
:: Commitment and respect for cultural diversity and human rights.
Duration:
Start date of consultancy: 10th of March, 2017
End date of consultancy: 31st of July, 2017

selection will be done based on the following main criteria assessed
through review of the application and the interview:
1. Relevant education.
2. In-depth experience and good track record in the delivery of
interactive trainings/sessions aiming to achieve change in attitudes
(preferably with a focus Roma), reduce stereotypes and prejudice,
promote diversity, work and effective communication in multicultural
environment;
3. Excellent understanding and
knowledge of the specific forms of exclusion and discrimination faced by Roma children and families in Bulgaria;
4. Financial Offer.
