Position description

Do you want to join the efforts to make kindergarten in Bulgaria financially affordable? The Trust for Social Achievement brings you this unique opportunity to play an important role in our nationwide initiatives. The position has an expected duration of at least 20 months and a reasonable amount of travel.

About the Springboard for School Readiness (SSR) network

The Springboard for School Readiness (SSR) network was formed in 2014 with 23 NGOs to implement a nationwide project focused on increasing access to kindergarten for disadvantaged children by gathering evidence to support public policy decisions. This project will continue to operate through May 2018 with up to 16 partnering organizations and 600 children (100 kindergartens) to serve.

This informal network has expanded its activities by initiating a second large scale project. With it, the SSR network plans to gather further evidence in support of removing financial barriers to kindergarten and seek a broader coalition of organizations working to remove financial barriers to kindergarten. We will support the evidence with clear public demand through a combination of petitioning, street campaigns, local community events and an independent review of municipal budgets by local, parent-elected experts in select municipalities.
