Social Media Communications Specialist - part-time, temporary

The Social Media Communications Specialist will be a member of the Communications team and will contribute to developing and implementing communications projects with focus on the digital engagement of Greenpeace - Bulgaria.

Job requirements

The successful candidate on this position will be responsible for:
  • Developing and optimizing all digital channels of Greenpeace - Bulgaria (FB, IG, YT, X), incl. ads development and analysis;
  • Social media comments oversight & quick reaction on all channels;
  • Providing communication expertise during campaign planning processes and discussions on how and why to use social media for campaigns, and managing the social media implementation of campaigns;
  • Drafting online content for digital channels in coordination with responsible campaigner, volunteer coordinator or other colleagues from Greenpeace - Bulgaria;
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of social media communication and delivering subsequent reports and proposals for tailoring the strategy and tactics based on the analytics.
Experience and skills needed:
  • University degree, preferably in a communication area, or relevant work experience of at least 2 years;
  • Deep understanding of social media communications;
  • Pronounced communication skills in Bulgarian and English;
  • Collaborative;
  • Willingness to learn and to teach;
  • Critical and analytical thinking;
  • Identification with Greenpeace goals and supportive of Greenpeace values;
  • Understanding the role that media, science, politics and economics play in campaigning for the environment and social change;
  • Writing skills;
  • Design skills (not a must but would be a plus).

  • Part- time employment contract (20 h per week) with a trial period under a labour contract;
  • Gross salary: approx. 1343 BGN, depending on previous experience;
