"Walk for peace" competition
Essay competition:
Open to young people aged 11-25
Essay question:
Man is hard-wired for war but needs to be programmed for peace? Discuss.
Length: Maximum of 500 words
Submitted in English language
Include: Short max. 200 word biography of your story.
Please retain a copy of your work as it will not be possible to return entries
Competition opens on August 4th and closes on October 3rd 2014.
The winners will be announced on 11th November 2014.
Prizes: Winners will receive a certificate and medal and the top 20 entries will be published in a short pamphlet early in 2015.

Painting competition:
Open to children and young people up to the age of 11.
Title: "Imagine a world without war"
Submit electronically in jpeg format
Be signed/marked and dated by the artist.
Be accompanied by a very short biography written by the artist or a teacher/parent
The competition opens on August 4th and closes on October 3rd 2014 with winning entries announced on 11 November 2014
Prizes: Winning entrants will receive a certificate and medal and will be included in a short publication of winning entries in early 2015.
