Call for Proposals 2012
Sch?ler Helfen Leben (SHL) invites non-profit organizations to apply with their projects for funding generated by the Social Day. These projects should directly support children and young people in their social development. Further information about the aims of SHL, the applicants and the project funding can be found in the funding guidelines.
SHL has organized Social Days regularly since 1998. The idea is
simple: for one day school students do not attend school but work and donate their income to the work of SHL. The commitment of the young people is not limited to this one day. They are also directly involved in the selection of those youth projects which will be supported.
SHL is a non-profit organization which contributes to the social development of children and young people through youth projects. It supports the process of building democratic civil societies in Southeastern Europe. From our perspective, the participation of children and youth is essential in a sustainable process of designing and implementing projects. So far, we have contributed more than 20 million Euros in funding to the region and have been involved in more than a hundred projects in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Romania and Serbia.
Applicants use their project ideas to apply for a funding period of two years from September 1st, 2012. The project must be completed within this period. The organization carrying out the project must have a good track record of professional work and be able to prove this with articles of association, a vision/mission statement, strategies, financial statements, etc. A precondition is the organization?s connectedness with local partners and stakeholders relevant to the project. The planned project budget for the two year funding period needs to be between 75,000 and 200,000 Euros.
The deadline for applications is December 20th, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.
Applications must be written in German or English and can only be submitted online through the application form which is available at www.callforproposals.de <http://www.callforproposals.de/>
