"The Language of Art and Music" will be split into two complementary components: "The Universality of Art and Music", and "Contemporary Case Studies".
"The Universality of Art and Music" (9th September 2010) The first component part of the conference will explore the theory behind art and music as cultural bridge, exploring in particular their universal nature. Academic experts will consider how we interpret and experience these cultural forms, and how these experiences can be compared across national boundaries.
"Contemporary Case Studies" (10th September 2010) The second component part of the conference will look at a diverse range of case studies from across the world, featuring both music and art. Politicians, diplomats, and practitioners will offer their perspectives on these initiatives and the impact they have had on a local, national, and global level.
