УНИЦЕФ България търси Консултант „Културни специфики“ Сигурна зона „Харманли"

As part of its support and efforts to strengthen national and local efforts for care and protection of refugee and migrant children including unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC), UNICEF is seeking a consultant to support the efforts of UNICEF Bulgaria to strengthen the capacity of the frontline workers from the child protection and social welfare systems in working with refugee and migrant children, as well as, to support the office in developing culturally sensitive and appropriate PSEA and complaint-feedback mechanism for the children in the Safe zone in Harmanli.

The main objectives are as follows:

1. Support the efforts of the office in strengthening the capacity of frontline workers in working with refugee and migrant children, with special focus on cultural specifics and dimensions.
2. Support the development of culturally specific and sensitive information for the children in the Safe zone in Harmanli, incl. PSEA and feedback and complaint mechanism.

Key deliverables:

• Prepare and deliver at least two presentations on cultural specifics and dimension of refugee and migrant children, coming from the Near and Middle East.
• Attend up to 10 training for frontline workers, organised by UNICEF and conduct 2-hour session on the topic of cultural specifics with the aim to raise the awareness, knowledge, and competencies of frontline workers.
• Support the preparation of culturally specific information for refugee and migrant children, incl. UASCs, as well as support the development of a culturally sensitive PSEA and feedback and complaint mechanism for UASCs in the Safe zone in Harmanli.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related.
• At least five years’ experience in conducting thematic trainings for frontline workers on specifics in working with refugees and migrants.

The assignment is envisaged to take place between 15 July 2024 – 31 December 2025.
