This manual aims to provide a practical point of reference to assist in all steps of volunteer management, from recruiting volunteers through to the management process once a program has become operational. The intent of the manual is to provide a considered overview of the essential components of an effective volunteer program. Information is presented in a non–prescriptive way to give the manual relevance to a wide range of organisations broadly involved in ‘health care’.
