Call for Proposals: Decade Focal Points 2013

The Decade of Roma Inclusion Secretariat Foundation has issued a call for proposals to support a Decade Focal Point in each of the Decade of Roma Inclusion countries in 2013. Roma civil society organizations from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Spain are eligible to apply.
The Decade Secretariat has issued a call for proposals intended to identify and provide grant support to a Decade Focal Point in each of the Decade of Roma Inclusion countries.
The overall objective of the grant is
to stimulate more active participation by Roma civil society in the
Decade of Roma Inclusion and other relevant policies, particularly the EU Framework for National Roma Integration Strategies.
The specific objectives are:
- To ensure participation of Roma civil society from each of the Decade countries in the international processes of the Decade of Roma Inclusion and EU Framework through participation at relevant international events
- To encourage and provide for in-country dialogue between the authorities and Roma communities on Decade implementation
- To provide means for disseminating information about the Decade to the Roma population, particularly Roma civil society, as well as to the wider public at the national and international levels
- To ensure active participation by Roma civil society in the monitoring and implementation of the National Decade Action Plans, including through providing relevant information and expertise to Decade partners
