Persian Ice Cream Workshop

Tired of the cloudy cold days this past week? So are we! Join us in a rosey, summery workshop for making Persian inspired ice-cream, the foolproof way to tease our senses and hopefully, the weather, with the Rose Festival right around the corner and summer heading our way!

We will be making Iranian Bastani-ye Sonnati (traditional ice-cream), infused with rosewater and cardamom and Faloudeh (rice-noodle, rose lemonade slushi). We will serve them in three ways commonly loved amongst Iranians: wafer sandwich, as a side to Faloudeh and in the form of Ab-havij Bastani (carrot juice and ice-cream).

Mahsa Nouraei is an Iranian poet and language teacher. She is also a big foodie and art lover! Mahsa was one of the big stars of the Migrants Got Talent project as she hosted numerous culinary and cultural events. For her efforts, last year she received the national award Volunteer of the Year!
