The English Language Café and Multi Kulti Collective are pleased to invite you to “The Evolution of the Creative Mind: Nurturing Imagination & Learning from the Future (Sci-Fi Movies/Literature)” with Levent Korkmaz (Belgium, Türkiye).

Who is Mr. Korkmaz?

Levent was an academic researcher in computational modelling and policy analysis for international trade until he discovered chaos theory and self-organization. Transitioning to an IT/business career during the dot-com collapse in 2000, he worked as a business intelligence and strategic planning consultant, as well as a systems analyst for multinationals like Compaq (later HP), Intel, Cisco, Avaya, Alcatel-Lucent, Nokia, Akzonobel, FIAT, Actavis, and recently Aveva, Janssen, and Progress, just to name a few. He also believes in compassionate capitalism and the importance of the social economy, often supporting capacity-building and fundraising efforts for charities in Bulgaria and Europe.

As a “digital evolution evangelist” and utopist, he speaks about the emergence of “homo digitalis” and the “digital renaissance” at conferences and events/workshops that he organizes to share his passion for shaping and designing the future—and more importantly, learning from it—through what he calls “science-functional strategic design” thinking. Recently, he launched the “Dream Catchers” initiative, which led to the foundation of The Creative Institute. Its mission is to build a community of creative professionals in Bulgaria and globally, democratizing and boosting creativity in everyone.

What to expect?

Levent will begin by sharing his insights on the evolution of the creative mind. Following his presentation, we will enjoy the ELC Bartender’s signature alcohol-free beverages, then continue the evening with engaging small-group conversations as part of our idea exchange in English.
